Advice To The Players joins the greater New Hampshire theatre community in mourning the loss of Van McLeod. Van was commissioner of the N.H. Department of Cultural Resources from 1992 until his death. He was a friend, mentor, & comrade to many of us and will be missed.

A memorial service for Van will be held Friday, July 22nd at 1pm, at St Paul’s Church in Concord.

Welcome to the website of the New Hampshire Professional Theatre Association.

Live theatre, year round, housed in barns and dressed in bricks, with brand
new stages and in historically preserved theatres…

The NHPTA’s Member Theatres operate all around the Granite State, performing everything from classics such as the Greeks & Shakespeare, to 20th-century favorites, to the latest new plays — some written right here in New Hampshire!

We also organize the annual NHPTA Auditions & Job Fair, where theatre industry professionals can show their stuff, interview, and network with the state’s producing entities.
